Types of Dental Crowns

  • - This type of crown is usually recommended for front teeth since it'll provide the nicest appearance. It's made of pure porcelain material. It would be hard for others to tell if it's a natural tooth or all porcelain crowns.
  • Ceramic Crowns
  • - This uses porcelain and other ceramic materials which provides extra strength. Most dentist prefer placing this kind on the front teeth since they don't have the aesthetic disadvantages of Metal, although it is not as aesthetic as All Porcelain Crowns.
  • Porcelain Fused to Metal (Ordinary Metal)
  • - Porcelain Crowns fused to Metal is substantially the strongest among all dental crowns. But it does not give the natural look and aesthetic appearance that All Porcelain crowns or Ceramic crowns offer.
  • Porcelain Fused to Metal (Tilite)
  • - A special kind of metal, Tilite is used for this particular dental crown.
